One of the most interesting and difficult aspects to get used to with fashion blogging is having your picture taken in public. When I model in public, I see it as a job, but blogging seems like one of the most narcissistic pursuits: "Hi, I think I look cool enough today that I should have this outfit documented and shared on the internet for all to see."
I had to face this anxiety when I decided it would be really cool to take pictures in a nearby laundromat. When I walked inside, people were going about their daily business, and here I am, just taking pictures in front of your dirty clothes, don't mind me.

The beauty of New York City though, is that no one cares. I was nervous that people were going to call me out or give me strange looks, and yet I barely got a second glance.
It was a real eye-opener for me, and I think it's going to help me be less self-conscious about taking pictures in public spaces in the future. Hopefully this means prospective posts will be taken in new and exciting locals.
