I've been living in New York City for about a year and a half now, and I have spent very little time in Brooklyn. Granted, I live in the Bronx, so the over an hour subway commute does deter me a little bit. However, every time I visit, I see why it's so popular.
We took a walk by the Brooklyn Bridge and near the waterfront. It has a gorgeous view of the sky line and the Statue of Liberty. There's a little ice cream shop called Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory that is always super crowded, even though it was still pretty cold yesterday.
There's a park and a boardwalk type area that would be great in the summer. I'm definitely planning on coming back to this area when it's a little warmer outside.
One of the things that I love about New York is that you're never done exploring. I love finding new places to see, adventuring to different neighborhoods and playing perma-tourist. Sometimes it's fun to just take some pictures and let your city surprise you and captivate you all over again.
