So the past week was my spring break, and for that my roommate at school came to visit Chicago with me. The first day was a little dreary, but we still had a good time. I took her to Millennium Park where we saw the Bean (a.k.a. Cloud Gate).
We wandered around the city for a while, and we finally stopped at Eataly for lunch. I went into chocolate overdrive, but it was so worth it. I got a Nutella crepe and chocolate gelato.
For those who don't know, Eataly is a multi-level Italian food destination in Chicago (there is also a smaller one in New York). It has a super market section as well as various food stations serving things like pizza, pastries, pasta, etc.
Overall, day one was an exhausting success. I don't have any pictures, but for those who know Chicago we walked from Union Station, to Millennium Park, to Water Tower Place and then shopper there. So we were pretty tired on the train.
Hope everyone had a good week while I was gone!
