Rich Girl

This is cape is genuinely one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I got it at a vintage shop in Northern Wisconsin in the middle of summer. Albeit, it wasn't the most obvious purchase to make after a day of hiking and swimming, but it was love at first sight.

Cape: Vintage, Sweater: Zara, Jeans: Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses: H&M

When I wear this cape, I feel like a wealthy aristocrat from the 1930s (though they were few and far between). In this outfit, I chose to play up the bourgeois aspects by wearing my leather gloves and my hair in a bun, while at the same time balancing it with Converse and jeans.

I was so honored to be asked to model for DoSomething.org this weekend. It is such an amazing cause to get teens interested in the issues of today.

Here are some behind the scenes shots, and I'll let you all know when the campaigns launch!

I was lucky enough, yesterday, to be able to go to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to see a show. I got to go last season too, but sadly that's when I was M.I.A. on this blog.

For those of you reading who do not live in New York, it is difficult to imagine the sort of mayhem that ensues. There are always people waiting outside, standing around to have their photos taken (granted less so during the Fall shows because of the freezing cold).

Nevertheless, fashion week is an amazing time to be inspired. Here is a little sneak peak into my day at the shows.

Hat: Forever 21, Necklace: Zara, Boots: Forever 21, everything else was thrifted

I went with my equally stylish friend, Ann Marie.

Post-Game Attire

I'm gonna be honest and say that I really am not all that interested in the Super Bowl. I understand football; that's not the issue. I just really don't particularly care one way or the other unless my team
(Go Eagles!) is playing.

Last year, I did watch part of it entirely for the purpose of seeing Beyoncé perform. Neither Bruno Mars or the Red Hot Chili Peppers is particularly enticing to me, so I hung out with my friends while the game was on in the other room. From what I hear, the game wasn't very exciting anyways..

However, I was feeling inspired by the sporty motif and decided to pull out this look to pay tribute to that.

Dress: Zara, Boots: JCPenny

It isn't much of a reference (I don't see too many pro-athletes running around in over-the-knee boots and tights), but I love the graphic print of this dress and the sweatshirt material. It definitely echos the sporty vibe of this weekend.

Considering this is probably the only sunny day I'm going to have in a while, I felt like this was a good time to pull it out.

Were you interested in the Super Bowl this year? What was your favorite commercial?
