Miss Me Yet?

Well clearly I'm back and I'll get you all updated on how my trip went once I upload the pictures. I went to the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at the De Young Museum in San Francisco! It was so amazing; I felt like I was in heaven. Anyways, here are some random pictures of me from a nice day that my friend took before I left.

Sorry for the lack of posts!! I've had some technical difficulties and I'm going on vacation until Tuesday. Hopefully I can get some posts in while I'm there!! San Francisco here I come!!

Neon Day

I think an unofficial holiday has been created that told everyone to wear neon last Thursday because I was not alone in my choice. Everywhere I went I just happened to see someone else wearing the same eye opening trend. Maybe it was the spring-like feel, but this is a craze I am ready to start embracing. It is hard to believe it is March here. Last  year on St. Patrick's day we were bundled up in our winter coats, and now I'm sunbathing on the lawn in my neon green (which I clearly need). I don't know what hurts your eyes more the light reflecting off my shirt... or off my skin!

I Guess I'm An Overachiever

I had a breakfast today celebrating the fact that I got over a 5.0 GPA throughout high school, so this is what I wore. I wanted something a little bit conservative but with a fashion twist. I'm in love with this leather skirt; I want to wear it all the time. Sadly it can't be worn everyday, but I thought today was a fitting occasion.

And I got to go tight free!! Can I get a cheer for Chicago weather?

Floral and Grammar

Today was a warm, but rainy day so I decided to wear the new pants I got on my shopping trip to brighten things up a bit. Walking around with a garden on your bottom half requires a bit of toning down (especially if you don't particularly like to be harassed in high school). I chose to pair it with my grammar t-shirt that shows one of my biggest pet peeves.

I am the first to admit that I make plenty of spelling and grammatical mistakes, but I just don't know what it is about "Your" vs. "You're" that really grinds my gears.

Shopping Date

Today I went on a bit of a shopping spree with one of my good friends. We just went to the local mall and this is what I wore:
Vest and Shoes: Forever21, Shirt and Jeans: Thrifted

I found some really good deals at H&M, including these floral pants for $14. They had leather pants for $14 too, but they had already sold out of the black. There was a sheer floral button up at H&M that I liked too, but my thrifting ways even have me hesitating at $24. I made the right decision and passed on the shirt because on a hunch I stopped by Salvation Army and picked up two button ups that are perfect. Even better, together they cost less than $5.

A Big Thank You

I just want to take the time today to give a shout out to one of my best friends, Amy Shelton, who also happens to be my photographer for almost all my outfit posts (granted we trade it for rides home from school). She is super talented and you all should go check out her Tumblr and her Facebook . Here are some of the other images she's taken of me for various photo shoots and my senior pictures.

And the woman behind it all!
And now you can see even better the difference in quality between her camera and mine. Oh, if only...

Frolicking in the Parking Lot

Just chilling in the parking lot after school. We are the coolest.

Anywho, I decided to pull a Man Repeller and de-sexify a bandage dress by covering it with a big sweater. I think this one will keep all the boys off me.
